Decide What Matters for Today

Decide what matters most in each season of life, then give yourself permission to let the other things slide. In the end, it won't matter how many times I raised my voice so much as how many times I softened my voice to ask his forgiveness. I want to be more interested in nurturing his spirit and maturity than I am in having material things go my way. I want him to see me in the struggle so he sees that we can struggle well through anything.

Real Change Takes Real Time

I just came across something I wrote in August. And it gives me perspective on the timeline of lasting change, how sometimes it feels like changing your life is slower than a sloth. Then you look back and realize 6 months is nothing on the timeline of life.
